NAIROBI— The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has pledged to strengthen its partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) following a high-level meeting at DCI Headquarters on Thursday.

DCI Director Mr. Mohamed I. Amin hosted Ms. Marie Dubeau, Head of the ICRC Nairobi Regional Delegation, for a courtesy call that highlighted the growing cooperation between the two organizations.

The discussions focused on reviewing existing joint initiatives while exploring new avenues for collaboration in critical areas, including justice delivery, security sector reform, community protection, and humanitarian response. Both leaders emphasized the importance of aligning efforts to address emerging challenges faced by vulnerable populations across Kenya.

Mr. Amin and Ms. Dubeau reaffirmed their institutions’ shared commitment to upholding humanitarian principles, enhancing operational coordination, and promoting respect for human dignity in law enforcement and crisis response contexts.

The meeting concluded on an optimistic note, with both parties expressing confidence in future joint programs designed to deliver tangible benefits to Kenyan communities.

This engagement marks another milestone in the longstanding relationship between the DCI and ICRC, reinforcing their mutual dedication to service, dialogue, and the protection of individuals affected by conflict, violence, and other humanitarian crises.

The strengthened partnership is expected to enhance coordination on forensic support, missing persons cases, and humanitarian access in complex security environments.
