NAIROBI— Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has said the outcome of the recent parliamentary and senatorial by-elections clearly reflects the prevailing political landscape in Kenya, with the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) emerging as the dominant force.
Speaking on the results of the ten contests held across different parts of the country, Duale noted that UDA secured six seats, reaffirming its position as the country’s leading political party. He attributed the strong performance to sustained public confidence in the party’s leadership, policies, and development agenda under President William Ruto.
“The outcome of the parliamentary and senatorial by-elections paints a clear picture of the prevailing political landscape in Kenya,” Duale said.
He added that the results also demonstrate the strength and maturity of Kenya’s democracy, where different political parties can compete freely and win in their respective strongholds.
Duale further highlighted the success of the Broad-Based Government arrangement, noting that UDA and its key partner, ODM, collectively won nine out of the ten seats, accounting for 90 percent of the victories.
“These outcomes highlight the significance of the Broad-Based Government, which has brought together leaders and parties committed to national stability, unity, and development,” he said.
