NAIROBI β The Director of Criminal Investigations, Mohamed I. Amin, on Tuesday joined the Inspector General of the National Police Service, Douglas Kanja, at the National Police College, Embakasi B Campus, for the General Service Unit (GSU) recruits’ Full Dress Rehearsal Parade.
Mr. Amin’s attendance underscores the Directorate of Criminal Investigations’ commitment to supporting the National Police Service in nurturing a disciplined, professional and mission-ready police service.

The Director joined other senior commanders in witnessing the final preparations by the recruits ahead of their official passing-out parade scheduled for later this week.
Also present were Deputy Inspector General of the Kenya Police Service, Eliud Lagat, GSU Commandant Johana Tonui, and other senior officers from across the NPS formations.
The full dress rehearsal marks a critical milestone for the recruits, who have undergone months of rigorous physical, tactical and academic training. The parade showcased drill precision, discipline and coordination, reflecting the high standards expected of the elite paramilitary unit.
The GSU is a key formation within the National Police Service, tasked with providing specialized security operations, protection of vital installations and response to emerging security threats.
The rehearsal serves as the final assessment before the recruits formally transition into active service and join efforts to safeguard the safety and security of the nation.
