China’s transformation of its specialty farming sector is offering lessons for farmers across the world, including in Kenya, where macadamia farming is becoming a major economic activity.

The growth has also expanded beyond farming into tourism and export markets. In the city of Pu’er, coffee plantations, specialty coffee venues, and processing industries are now attracting tourists and international buyers.
