Thousands of Kenyans flooded Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua’s Facebook comment section, declaring “SHA is working” and sharing personal testimonies, shortly after the senator posted:

“If SHA was working, it would be Kenyans and the patients confirming it. You don’t need to keep telling people or reminding them that it’s working.”

Here are samples of the comments:

Paul Mugambi Nyaga said, “SHA is working it paid Ksh 285,000 in Murang’a and now caters for the same patient 12k dialysis twice a week that’s 96K per month. Kama sio hivo sio SHA hata sai tunge kuwa tuna changisha yakumtoa hosi 285K.”

Jaafar Emoru commented: “On this one, I beg to differ with the senator. Honestly SHA is working and it did me an amazing favour. My own mother was operated at a cost of 456k, courtesy of SHA. The only reason i may wake up in the morning of elections, just to vote for President Ruto.”

Medic Mosee, a medical practitioner, gave his testimony: “As a medical practitioner, I can attest that SHA is working. Everyday I sign preauthorization forms for patient who get upto 70% waivers from SHA. My own brother has his chemo meds covered fully by SHA.”

Irene Mutai said: “SHA inafanya, baba yangu alikuwa akikana BT alijipata hosi na sha iligharamia matibabu yake hadi sai hajaamini!”

Wuod Kisa added his personal testimony: “SHA is 100%,I can testify coz it helped me, out of 100k, it paid 56k for my surgery, so please ata ka mnachukia Ruto vitu zingine mfanye utafiti ya kutosha.”

Angel Joy Karimi said: “SHA is doing doing great, confirming from kenyatta national hospital.paid 56,000shs for my daughter.Thank you president william samoei ruto.”

Linah Daisy Mwenda commented: “It’s working it covered for my nephew 250k…the ones who don’t know if it’s working are those with medical insurance or have money.”

Patrick Musango wrote: “SHA Iko sawa , jana wife wangu alifiwa C’s na I didn’t pay anything, Wacha kudanganya wakamba na wewe uko na insurance cover walipiwa na serikali,, senator kuwa mkweli.”

Kassim Hussein said: “I have used it last month and I didn’t pay a single coin and the amount mounted to 12K Mr senator.”

Jeff Lelei said: “Senator Enoch K. Wambua it’s like you shot on your own foot! SHA is working bro.My sister used it.”

Mosonik Kalyet confirmed: “SHA is superp. Confirming from Glory Hospital Baringo.”

Nancy Lilly commented: “SHA is working in Makueni county.”

Chenane Felix said: “Just walk to the nearest health facility and sit next to the SHA forms filling desk for just one hour. It is not rocket science.”

Alex Mwendwa wrote his testimony: “On Friday I was treated through SHA.”

Mary Favoured highlighted her personal testimony: “SHA is working, confirming from Makindu Hospital.”

Tedolly Joram said: “You are not mouth piece …SHA is working I have enjoyed its services all through.Encourage patients to service their premiums.”

Silas Daady shared his testimony: “SHA is working am the beneficiaries Lukolis Modern Hospital Busia.”

Hamington K Rotich testified: “I have benefitted from SHA, unless we live in different planets.”

Shadrack Sego gave his personal testimony: “It pays 90k. I can attest.”

Rachel Kemunto commented, sharing her personal experience: “SHA worked for me, mum in-law went to eye specialist for cataract surgery and SHA iligaramia all 60k.”

Ondego M Cecil said while responding to Senator Enoch Wambua’s post: “It is working, last week it paid Ksh 400,000k operation fee of a friend of mine in machakos.”

Samir Muthui responded to Senator Wambua: “SHA is working guys as we talk now it has paid my daughter’s bill as well as my wife too.”

Ojilucs Benfarah commented: “Sasa mimi niko hospitali and it just paid my Ksh. 250,000 na unaongea hapa ujinga.”

Danquah Osigoh posed as a living proof: “l used SHA on Thursday last week Blessed Medical hospital kitengela.”

Arap Serikali told Senator Enoch Wambua: “Ask my dad and he will say God bless Ruto.”

Simon Mbugua shared his experience with Social Health Authority: “SHA is working mheshimiwa, just paid my mother’s bill.”

Sambu Ge confirmed that SHA is working: “I can confirm this I am neither the president nor the CS I am a Kenyan citizen and it’s working…”

Patrick Mutai said: “Ruiru Nursing Hospital is always the best. God bless you My President.”

Grace M Nkombaze clarified: “SHA is working than NHIF, the problem is no cartels..ndio inawauma the exact bill ndio SHA inalipa, unlike NHIF where Bill’s were being manipulated.”

Gilbert Kinara said: “SHA is working, my cousin was discharged from a private hospital where he was admitted and SHA cleared the hospital bill of ksh 135,000.”

Kipronotorongei Langat shared a personal testimony: “SHA is working I personally benefit my 280k paid by SHA at kijabe hospital.”

Jossy Mwikaa told Senator Enoch Wambua: “For me it worked, paid 290K for surgery Kenyatta hospital,, stop misleading people,, tafuta agenda yako venye utafanyia wat wa kitui kama governor.”

Ibrahim Mohamed said while appreciating the relief provided by the Social Health Authority: “My sister underwent fundoplication surgery at St. Mary’s Mission Hospital, Lang’ata, and SHA paid Ksh. 220,000 for the procedure. Therefore, SHA has greatly assisted me by reducing the financial burden on my shoulders.”

Pedro Neto responded to Kitui Senator’s Facebook post: “SHA is working bro mimi nimeona ilisaidia my workmate 600k.”

Zablon Musomi told Senator Enoch Wambua: “Senator Enoch K. Wambua My senator, Stop spreading and peddling Lies and propaganda, you surely can do better than this, oppose critically and objectively, am confirming to you from Kitui, SHA is working, and if exhausted, that’s where you, your brothers, your wives and the whole of your clan come in.THE GOVT CANT DO EVERYTHING FOR YOU. WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOR THE GOVT. It’s time you started appreciating the strides we are making as a country.Sio kupinga kila kitu.”

Bush Kelvin shared a personal testimony: “I can confirm it’s working, it paid for us 65k 29th Dec.”

Suprise Moriri commented: “I confirm it’s working..a surgery that cost Ksh 110,000, SHA paid 90k ….it’s the best thing that happened to Kenyans, thank U William.”

Diminimis Rule shared his personal testimony: “SHA works, was from hospital with my son on Saturday and on 6/7/29 my mom was discharged freely after spending one week in hospital.”

The overwhelming number of testimonies in the comments section highlights strong public support for the Social Health Authority (SHA) among many ordinary Kenyans who have directly benefited from it.
