NAIROBI—Eldas Member of Parliament Adan Keynan has issued a public invitation to all media houses, national government agencies, Wajir County Government, the County Commissioner, NG-CDF boards, Eldas professionals, Friends of Eldas, and the general public to join a two-week constituency-wide Development Assessment Tour. The tour, scheduled from Saturday, 11th July 2026 to Saturday, 25th July 2026, coincides with Parliament’s June-July short recess.

The initiative comes amid sustained public debate over development in Northern Kenya, where historical marginalization has fueled scrutiny of the roles played by the National Government, County Governments and the National Government-Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF). Eldas Constituency has frequently been cited in these discussions.

Describing the tour as a “deliberate, transparent and bold step” to counter misleading narratives, Keynan emphasized independent verification of projects on the ground. “SEEING IS BELIEVING,” he declared, inviting stakeholders to inspect achievements firsthand.

The move follows growing calls from sections of Northern Kenya’s population for greater accountability in the utilization of devolved funds and NG-CDF allocations.

Earlier: While speaking in an event on Sunday, Adan Keynan noted that Eldas Constituency has a landmass equal to that of all the Mount-Kenya counties combined.

“Eldas Constituency has a landmass equal to that of all the Mount-Kenya counties combined, yet we were able to build 13 modern secondary schools and more than 48 primary schools in just 12 years,”

Interested participants are required to register via the official constituency email:eldas2013@yahoo.com.

MP Keynan extended a warm welcome to all, signaling openness to scrutiny and confidence in the constituency’s development record.
