Wajir– Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale presided over a  thanksgiving ceremony at Habaswein Primary School to celebrate the appointment of Mohammed Aden Abdi as a Commissioner at the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) by President William Ruto.

In his address, Duale congratulated Abdi on the well-deserved appointment, urging him to serve Kenyans with unwavering integrity, diligence, and public duty.

Turning to health sector issues, the CS issued a stern warning: any health facility found colluding with patients to falsify information will face decisive legal action. This comes amid ongoing government efforts to curb fraudulent claims under the Social Health Authority.

Duale also voiced strong confidence that courts will uphold the government’s stance in the legal challenge seeking to block the recently signed Kenya-US health cooperation framework, emphasizing its benefits for national healthcare.

The event saw robust political endorsement from Wajir residents, who reaffirmed support for President Ruto’s leadership and backed his re-election bid, highlighting nationwide reforms and development projects.
